Yarn
I worked my sample using Wander Yarn in Sandbar, Agave & Patina.
Patina–A soft, muted sage green with a cool undertone. This shade evokes the look of aged copper and feels earthy yet fresh. It’s perfect for calming, nature-inspired projects and pairs beautifully with neutrals or deeper greens.
Agave–A dusty blue-green with subtle gray undertones. Agave has a tranquil, spa-like vibe—think eucalyptus leaves or desert succulents. It’s versatile enough to work as a main color or a gentle contrast.
Sandbar–A warm, sandy beige that leans toward the color of sun-bleached driftwood or dunes at golden hour. This neutral is soft and cozy, grounding other shades without overpowering them.
Together, these three form a serene, coastal-inspired palette—natural, elegant, and understated.

Row 7 - 15, 19, 23: Repeat Row 6
You can also repeat Row 6 until you reach your preferred fit. Just be sure to end on an odd row.
Do not fasten off.
Border
The border and ties will be made seamlessly in one row, no seaming! We will work the left side, then the right side, create the right tie, complete the top border, create the left tie and fasten off.
With the right side of your work facing you, turn your project to the right so that you can work along the left side of your project.
You will now work sc evenly around the border. To do this, sc 3 at the end of each row. Once you reach the last row, 3sc at the tip. Continue the border: Sc 3 at the end of every row. *You do not have to work into the stitches, Sc around each stitch for a more polished look.*
Pro Tip: work around your tail during the border to minimize weaving in ends later.
Right Tie
Ch 35, 40, 45.
Apply Bead (Optional)
After completing your last ch, pull up a long loop, place your bead on your smaller hook, pull loop through bead, using your larger hook, secure bead with a sc in the 3rd ch from the hook.
Sc in each ch.
Top Border
Sc in each st and ch.
Left Tie
Ch 35, 40, 45.
Apply Bead
After completing your last ch, pull up a long loop, place your bead on your smaller hook, pull loop through bead, using your larger hook, secure bead with a sc in the 3rd ch from the hook.
Sc in each ch. Sl st in to 1st border st. Fasten off.
Optional Finishing
Want your bandana to have a polished look? Steam block it to ensure that the ends stay perfect. Take a hand-held steamer or a light iron (be sure not to touch the fabric)and run the steam over it. This will let the stitches release and provide more flexibility. This step is optional. If you are fine with it as is, wear it joyously!
