I 💘 knitting and intend to make knitting an art, not just a craft! I like to experiment with different techniques, styles and materials and as a result I won a national TV knitting contest (in 2019) where the judges were literally stunned by my jumper! As the only Black winner on this programme, I wholeheartedly subscribe to #blackgirlsknitanddesign! Plus, with a few requests to buy my jumper, I have been told my jumper is a classic piece that will stand the test of time.
I also advocate knitting not just as a means to escape the difficulties of everyday life but as a means of yoga/therapy as it has untold benefits.
